Journals Unlimited Review
Journals are always a nice way to preserve memories whether you want to record such events like your weight loss endeavor, every day thoughts, devotionals, memories from a loved one or so many other reasons. Journals have been around for as long as we've been writing. They are excellent tools to capture those moments and most likely, you had at least one journal in your life whether it be a diary or something else. Time to clean the toilets ...I bet everyone runs at that call out don't they? Remember that old commercial for "Time to make the donuts?" He was so non-thrilled over the prospects of making yummy, delicious donuts and I could never understand why. I used to make donuts during high school when the dinosaurs roamed and I never grew tired of them. Cleaning toilets, well that is another story. I hate cleaning toilets and we have three in our house. I used to hate it and now I don't mind as much since I have tools that help aid in that dirty task. Since I liked the products already, it made sense to participate as I am a huge fan of SC Johnson's Scrubbing Bubble line of products. I started using the line too many years ago as I found the Scrubbing Bubbles spray foam works better than anything else I've tried. I truly look like a store when it comes to Scrubbing Bubble products in my house.
To achieve the easiest and quickest way to clean and keep your toilets clean, I use the Toilet Cleaning Gels. They are so easy to use as you just snap the gel disc into the holder, position the clear end of the gel disc holder against the surface of the bowl closest to the rim, press and hold the button until it clicks to the next hole, pull dispenser back and it leaves a gel behind. The dispenser comes with a cap to protect the remaining gels. It's so easy to use! Every time the toilet is flushed, it dissolves to freshen and clean so you don't have to!
For those in between times, the Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush 2-in-1 Starter Kit provides all the tools you need to begin a life of easier toilet cleaning. The handy brush has a clip that attaches to the tank for easy use and it's white and compact thus not leaving behind a huge, unsightly brush behind. The features of the brush includes an easy to use applicator that slips over the refillable pads so you don't have to touch them. There are max pads for tougher cleaning jobs and flushable pads for the quick touch ups when the mother-in-law is visiting or that unexpected guest arrives.
I love how well it cleans and I don't have to touch anything due to the great application of sliding the button to attach or release the pads. Being able to flush the flushable pads also eliminates odors in the waste basket.

Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Review
One thing I'm happy about as times have changed is the information to younger people on the importance of taking care of your skin. I wished I had that advice when I was younger as when you are in your 20's, you don't really think about it as it seems so far away. I'll never get old and looking at my dad, the idea of turning 40 seemed a million light years ahead. Little did I know that those light years would break the sound barrier as those 20 years sped by about as fast as a piece of chocolate goes in our house. With the renewed interest in aging come a host of products with all sorts of claims to wipe away years or to make you look instantly younger with the application of a product. I like the not-so-quick witch doctor claims that thoroughly explain what the product is about and doesn't make instant claims.
As a BzzAgent, I received four complimentary Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless products for my review. I was not financially compensated for this review and keeping within the BzzAgent's code of conduct, I can be as honest as I want to be. I do like Covergirl products as they are inexpensive compared to some other department store products and deliver high quality looks. Who doesn't love Drew Barrymore? She looks gorgeous in her commercials but she always does. I am also a fan of Olay as I think the products are unique and deliver for the most part. Using Ellen for their spokesperson was a smart decision to appeal to the older non-covergirl model. Us older women can relate to Ellen. She's not high end glamorous but she has style and takes care of herself. She looks great anytime as well but her features are accentuated with the use of the Covergirl and Olay line of Simply Ageless.
What's the secret behind Simply Ageless? It is formulated with little trolls to fix the road of wrinkles...okay, not really but it is formulated with Olay Regenerist serum to help restore evenness to your skin's texture and tone.
The four Simply Ageless products I tried were:
- Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation
- Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Corrector
- Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Eye Concealer
- Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush
Step 1:
After washing and moisturizing my face with Olay (I already used it), the Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Corrector combines intensive yellow pigments to counteract and neutralize the look of severe dark circles around your eyes. My kids rarely sleep through the night so sometimes, my eyes could use some 911 help. This went on smooth and silky and I could definitely see the areas I applied it.
Step 2:
The eye concealer helped to conceal the dark circles by brightening and moisturizing the skin around my eyes while blending it to my skin tone. Again, it went on smooth and silky and did in fact blend in well. It is available in four different shades for all skin types.
Step 3:
Covergirls states that the Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation has been shown to significantly improve skin condition in just four weeks of continuous use. I have not used it long enough to feel this change however. Available in 15 shades, the foundation I received went on a little light but it did feel silky and smooth. It also has a SPF 22 for that added protection against the sun.
Step 4:
The Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush glides over the skin leaving behind a subtle contour of my cheekbone. You control the level of color you want on your cheekbones but I found it went on smooth and easy and was just the right amount. It is available in four shades and also uses Olay's Regenerist serum.
I had a step 5 as I noticed it was a little on the shiny side so I tried to put on some powder but ended up preferring it without the powder.
Overall, I liked the ease for application. The foundation and blush are an all-in-one carrying case with the special spongy applicator on the top that flips up and the bottom screws off to reveal the foundation and blush. It's a smart way to be able to take things on the go without mess. It covered my skin and allowed for an even skin tone. I would recommend the Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless line of products and look forward to seeing some benefits after four weeks of continuous use.
eShakti Where You Decide the Size to Fit Your Proportions
eShakti Just the Way You Are! is their logo and what is nice about eShakti is you can customize all clothes to fit you instead of you having to fit your clothes. I've ordered two dresses from eShakti and love both of them! Being able to purchase something that I can wear on the spot is ideal for me as I'm short and big busted which usually means I have to make due. I was prompted to write this post as I saw a shirt that I have to have. Isn't it cute and it's only $39.95.
The back has a hidden zip closure, elasticized band on top, low hip length which helps to hide the tummy for those of us that have one and it's made of cotton.
For a small fee, you can change the neckline and tunic level and I find that really nice that you can actually purchase a tailored made piece of garment. They also now ship in three days which is a plus if you need it quickly.

Children's Claritin and Georgia Weather
I seriously don't think I've ever lived in a place that caused so many allergy issues with my family. I have one child on two daily medications and the rest of us suffer from allergies. We had some allergy issues but never like this since we moved to Georgia. I've tried many over the counter drugs for allergies and the only one that I find works the best is what my daughter's allergist recommended which is Children's Claritin. I'm also a BzzAgent who was able to receive a complimentary product. Although I'm not required to write a blog posts on it, I do because I really feel the product works and it works well. It's been a life saver whenever my youngest starts to crash with her symptoms. Her chronic condition has proven to be life threatening so I have to stay up on her symptoms and treatment options.
My middle one also takes Claritin for seasonal allergies while myself and my oldest take Claritin.

Saving Money via Couponing is a Lesson and Skill to Learn
We are on a mission to save money and I have brought along my oldest in not only a lesson on how we can be frugal but give her a lesson to live by for her and her little family-to-be. She's my main coupon organizer and in fact, she's putting together her own organizer and I can't wait to see what she comes up with. So far, after using a few of the main mommy blogger saving sites such as SouthernSavers, Frugal Coupon Living, Nicoles Nickels, Saving with Shellie and some others. I've also found that using business Facebook pages are giving us many more coupon savings along with their websites which is very nice.
We just started this new budgeting once my husband left for Kuwait on 4/28 and plan to get even better with it. As you can see, we have a long way to go but everyone has to start somewhere. We allocated $800 a month for groceries and eating out. We had some higher expenses due to a few unexpected purchases like a new propane tank.
I'm anxious to see what the month will look like as well as upcoming months.
