Oroweat Nutty Grain Healthfull Bread is Delicious

Oroweat. Bread Perfected.

Last night, I tried Oroweat's new HealthyFull bread in the Nutty Grain variety and LOVE it!  As with all of Oroweat's products, I love them.  I've been a fan of the Sandwich Thins for a long time due to the reduce calorie and carb aspect.  I'm a yo-yo dieter always trying to reduce cals or carbs so that is important to me along with getting some whole wheat.  Even though two slices have more calories then the Sandwich Thins, the calories aren't that much more at 80 calories a slice and the slices are HUGE!  Last night, I just made a piece of toast with butter and loves the flavor along with the toasted sesame seeds.

Nutty Grain

Today, I had a low fat ham sandwich which was delicious.  I've also been on a kick of eating more fiber which Oroweat's Nutty Grain is perfect.  I also like that there are no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.  Who really wants to have a loaf of bread around for a month without it breaking down?  I have a huge step to make it completely to healthy but I feel taking baby steps is the answer and Oroweat is helping me.  Now for my husband who is one of those people that you can't even open their minds to change, he hated it but he's an all enriched, processed flour bread man.  I myself, prefer whole wheat bread and now with sesame seeds.

I'm going to try this sandwich recipe this weekend:

Arnold/Brownberry/Oroweat Nutty Grain Health-full Bread Recipes

Arnold. Bread Perfected.

I'm an Arnold bread fan and if you ever come over to enjoy our pool, you would always find a stock of Arnold Bread Thins in our refrigerator and freezer.  There are so many reasons why I love these carb and calorie reduced little powerhouses.  Now, I found out that Arnold or as others might know this brand as Brownberry or Oroweat, there is Nutty Grain Health-full Bread!

Nutty Grain

This is ideal for me because I try to pick whole grain breads which also delivers low carbs and calories but doesn't skip out on taste.  I strive for a high fiber diet and it looks like this will give me the alternative when I want a slice of bread over a Sandwich Thin.  It has only 80 calories a slice and provides a nutty flavor of toasted sesame seeds (yummy!).  Another HUGE bonus for me, no artificial coloring, flavors OR preservatives.

Here are some tasty recipes that I'm going to try:

* Disclosure - I was not compensated for this post - I may receive a free sample.  I am a customer of Arnold breads.

Why Customer Service is Important

I buy a lot of stuff both inexpensive and expensive.  There are no limits to what I buy, within reason, for myself and family.  If I believe in a product, I will be loyal.  If I like a product, I will go out of my way to spread the word.  I not only have the ability to inform others via my offline circle but also my online circle by means of my blog, Facebook and Twitter.  When I am happy with a product, I let others know.  When I don't, unless it's a sponsored review, I don't say much.  However, when I do get bad service for a product that I paid for and try with good faith to get assistance, I will make noise.

Businesses should understand what they can get from being good customer service oriented partners with their consumers.  Not only do they have a chance to influence the consumer's own purchasing choices but those of others.  For those consumers who do go outside the realm of their offline circle, this can equate to free advertising and unsolicited product review endorsements.  For me, that means a lot when I research a product and see a person's opinion.  Take Huggies for example.  Before I became a Mom's Ambassador, I wrote and preached how much I loved Huggies products.  I went out of my way to endorse this product in an unsolicited manner.  I received no compensation or product for my posts because I am brand loyal and I don't mind spreading the word on a good product.  This holds true for Arnold Bread as I love that product too.

On the flip side are the bad customer service experiences I have received.  I just spent $150 (discounted price from a sample site) on an expensive trike for my grand daughter.  The company did not know that I purchased their product via a sample site and for all they knew, I paid full price which was over $200.  Upon receipt from The Foundary (great sample site by the way), we started to build the trike and immediately were hit with four missing KEY parts.  The four screw-type parts were missed in the QA/QC process of this particular company.  When I contacted the company for replacement parts, I was told they needed:

  1. Digital picture of the problem
  2. Digital picture of the receipt
  3. Trike model number and color (fair enough)
  4. Number stamped on the bottom of the box
  5. Name and address
Fair enough on items 3 and 5 but a year ago, when I ordered from Little Tykes and received my package, the booth seating on the diner was identical to the left side so I needed a right side.  What did Little Tykes do when I phoned them?  They apologized and sent me the right piece immediately with no questions asked and no requirements.

After repeat e-mails with the customer service agent, I still sit, two weeks later with an unusable expensive trike because she had to order the part and informed me she would notify me when it ships.  What???  This is the worse customer service I have experienced in some time and I was all ready to tell the "world" about this super cool new trike I bought for my grand daughter on my blog, on other mommy sites, on Facebook and Twitter.

What ashame that businesses don't realize the power of what good customer service can bring for free if they do the right thing.

Oroweat (Arnold Bread) Bread: Enter to Win a Trip to Vail & Other Prizes

Looking to gain some energy and power to workout in order to keep that new year's resolution?  Do you just want to get healthier as I do?  I buy Arnold Bread due it being 100% whole wheat and I also like the multi-grain version.  I'm trying to rid my diet of processed flours and sugars and want to stick with the good, healthy ingredients.  If you know anything about skiing, it takes a lot of energy and stamina to ski.  When I found out that Lindsay Vonn, eats Oroweat Bread (also known as Arnold Bread in the east), I had a reinforced feeling that I chose the right bread.

Lindsey is claimed to be the most successful female American skier in World Cup history and one of her Olympics sponsors, Oroweat Bread, is one product she consumes to prepare for competitions.  Her favorite sandwich is made of ham, Swiss and honey mustard that gives her the energy she needs to be so successful in her skiing career.
To honor the Olympian, the bakers of Oroweat Breads are giving fans a chance to “meet” the legend in-person and online. Fans can enter to win a trip to Vail, CO to meet Vonn at Oroweat.com between now and February 22. Other prizes, including a 46-inch LCD television and fitness gaming console are also available.

A customizable e-card allows fans to upload a picture of themselves to the virtual “Ski and Smile Photo Booth” to create a custom snapshot with Lindsey that can be shared via email, Facebook or Twitter.

Learn more about the contest here and don't forget to make your own card as I did above with my daughter!

*Disclaimer:  I received no compensation for this post.  I buy Arnold Bread and my entire family loves it.
