Embracing a Healthy Family: Children's ZYRTEC® Perfect Measure

Being a BzzAgent is a great opportunity to try out new products and spread the word. I received a full sized product of Children's ZYRTEC® Perfect Measure allegy medication to try. As a parent, I am bothered by all the news reports on medications and the dangers of medicating inappropriately or incorrectly. I have two children with allergy issues but only one qualified to take ZYRTEC® since it's for ages 6 and older.

Since she suffers from allergies, it's very important that I only give her a medication that is for her age group. The great thing about ZYRTEC® is the prefilled spoons. I can take them along easily without worrying about bringing along a messy bottle that might drip or a spoon to toss away or to place in a baggy until I get home to wash it. With the prefilled spoons, I also never have to worry about the correct dosage. This is a great piece of mind if she should happen to be with my husband or someone else who isn't the normal medicator.

My six year old responds positively to ZYRTEC® and a happy her, makes a happy me!

Ages 6 & older
Medicine should be dispensed directly into mouth using the enclosed pre-filled spoon(s)
Adults and Children 6 years and over: 1 pre-filled spoon (5 mL) or 2 pre-filled spoons (10 mL) once daily depending upon severity of symptoms; do not take more than 2 pre-filled spoons (10 mL) in 24 hours

My two children suffer from allergies with one affected much more severe than the other. As I've posted before, she's on daily medications for asthma and allergies and with the worries of H1N1, I'm doing everything I can to be proactive in protecting them.

BzzAgent gave me the opportunity to try out ZYRTEC® PERFECT MEASURE™ and I love it! Anything to make administering medications easier, safer and quicker is for me. I know that I always have the right dose for the six year old and don't have to worry about carrying a bulky bottle and spoons around for those unexpected times allergies hit.

While Children’s ZYRTEC® PERFECT MEASURE™ can relieve the symptoms associated with these allergies, I also know there is more I can do to help:

I change my furnace and air conditioner filters often and have my air conditioner cleaned annually.
I used a dehumidifier to control mold by keeping my home dry.
We don't have pets but if you do, try to keep them out of bedrooms and off of furniture.
I also vacuum frequently and dust with a damp cloth to keep down dust.
Something that I have not done is to place cheese cloth over heating vents to catch dust particles during winter which is a great idea.
