Six Weeks to OMG Get Skinnier Than All Your Friends by Venice A. Fulton is a book that tells you how to lose up to 20 pounds in six weeks. I've done many, many diets so I understood and saw some aspects of this diet in comparison to other diets and have had success on those diets. Knowing that, I know for sure that those aspects work such as higher protein and a mixture of fruits and veggies. I also understand the concept of get moving which the author is spot on. He reinforced the nature of our bodies throughout the beginning and why the way we live doesn't jive with how we were made. There were other aspects of his book that I never tried but they made logical sense. I tried one day but am not ready as I feel you have to be ready and committed to follow the plan perfectly.
Whereas I don't think the concept is hard at all, the idea of the cold baths are something that I'll have to get used to. Overall, I think the entire plan is doable and I also feel it would definitely work. I like the idea of how to plate your meals, how to space your meals and what you should eat and do for staying healthy. The mixture of the why's match the how's which is why I think this is an ideal book for anyone who wants to lose up to 20 pounds in a relatively short amount of time. Some will question the high level of protein but there is a mixture of the right fruits and vegetables to consume that balances out the nutrition value.
After all the books I have read and all the diets I have tried, this is a good book if you are ready to start losing weight and getting healthier.
Six Weeks to OMG will be available on July 10, 2012 publication in hardcover, e-book and downloadable audio formats and will be published on the Grand Central Life & Style list.
