I just received this e-mail on how to make easy ice cream cakes by Bryers and love how easy it looks and it's less expensive! Although the instructions state to use the shape of the container, you can soften the ice cream into any mold you have to include a regular cake pan. Years ago, something like 22, I made an ice cream cake for my oldest and used a bear shape cake pan from Wilton.
