Mamavation Week 10 - Not There Yet
It's another week of non-compliance but I'm okay with it as moving across country with packing up a house and a trip to Disney was too much for me coupled with a cold that wouldn't go away. It's about day 12 for the cold but it's slowly getting better. We hit town in Texas and was surprised by the house's broken air unit and broken pool pump thus leaving behind a nasty looking pool but to our chagrin. I think it just knocked the sails out of all of us as we were looking forward to the pool even though we knew our household goods would be a bit behind due to the move and vacation as well as Army policies.
We made it and are in the mode of unpacking and trying to figure out where to put everything. I also decided to put extra pressure on myself by having my eight year old compete for another Pepsi Grant for her Angels4Epilepsy non-profit. This time we're vying for $25k to go to low income parents to purchase bicycle helmets, medical alert bracelets and teddy bears (if you want to vote, the information is on my home page and thank you in advance)!
Back to business, needless to say, I have not weighed myself so have no idea what I've gained or lost. My clothes fit about the same although a bit snugger. I have been trying to opt for whole grain Arnold Sandwich Thins to cut down on calories and have tried to eat walnuts and almonds daily. The plan is to cut calories, exercise in the pool, treadmill and bike daily and then find my path to bikini season!
Even though I've fallen off the bandwagon, I'll be back ... ugh ...not sure I should use anything that is Arnold related.

We moved to a new state a few months ago and I was doing good to maintain. Moving is hard work!
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting settled in your new place!
I am packing for an eventual move and it's hard! second time i am doing this in three years so i know getting settled is going to throw me off. Good luck with everything.
ReplyDeleteMoving can be really stressful, which will lead to a little weight gain. Don't be too hard on yourself. Your clothes will feel loose again in no time.
ReplyDeleteMoving is such a crazy time! Don't stress about it, just watch portions and stay busy. Moving boxes, cleaning and unpacking should keep your step count up and keep you active. Be good to yourself and don't skimp on those zzz's. :) Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments, Ladies! It's definitely harder trying to stay healthier when you are new in trying to get there while moving. I finally weighed myself and I only gained back 2 pounds so I'm still down the 11 pounds..yeah!
ReplyDeleteMoving is crazy and turns your whole life upside down...it will get back to normal. I envy the pool even with a broken filter :)
ReplyDeleteYou have such great scenery to exercise around...biking and swimming sound great! Good luck getting everything unpacked and settled in!
ReplyDeleteOnce the stress of moving passes, things will even out. Good luck with all of it!
ReplyDeleteGrace, the pool is amazing and it's slowly getting fixed. I hope to utilize it to work out and get back in shape. The mountain view is amazing too :)
ReplyDeleteColleen, I will have no excuses but to get it in gear and get ready for a new me! Thanks!
Smallworldbiggirl, thanks and you are so right! Just seems so daunting at first but it's doable.
Happy week all! Thanks for the mamavation!
no feeling bad about yourself you are doing great and it sounds like your dealing with the stress of your life in stride instead of going back to old habits and regressing.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lorrie :) I'm trying as I just don't want to be unhealthy any longer. It's a constant battle but worth it when I look at my girls. :)
ReplyDeleteHang in there! I'm really loving your pool idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pamela! I started yesterday and since I re-emphasized the healthy kick, I lost two pounds :)
