My Most Triumphant Outlet Shopping Story

I love outlet stores and can't wait for any excuse to go there.  I used to shop for my business suits when I actually had to work in an office but now that I telecommute, I don't get that luxury.  When TwitterMoms and Gap Outlet offered up a new "Share Your Most Triumphant Outlet Shopping Story," I jumped.  You can find out more about it here.  With summer around the corner, we all could use some more clothes and why not save some money too?


My most triumphant outlet shopping story involved shopping for business suits.  I ended up finding three suits that would have retailed for over $700 but I paid $197 for all three!  It was a great experience and I was able to purchase shoes and jewelry with the money I saved.  At the end of the day, I spent $400~ and purchased three suits, three pairs of shoes and jewerly to match. When we lived in Hawaii, I bought many of my children's clothing at the local outlet store and saved over 70% on those purchases.  Why pay retail when the outlet stores carry all the great looks at a fraction of the costs?
