Lazy Thanksgiving

Photobucket

I completely cheated this Thanksgiving and am having all food made by Publix.  All I have to do is pop it in the oven and I'm done!  Publix has great food so I'm hoping this will be just as good.  Last year, my husband deep fried a turkey but after being overcooked a tad, we decided not to do that again.  I keep reading about brining a turkey and watched a special Martha Stewart on our horrible Comcast on demand.  I had to endure my oldest saying "ewwwww" and "OMG" as she watched Martha cram the stuffing in the turkey cavaties.  She's going to have trouble when she moves out and has to look at meat.

I also cheated as I figured since Macy's can have Christmas in their Macy's Day Parade then I can have Christmas in my Thanksgiving Day house.  I love Christmas!  We're also having my daughter's boyfriend of six months over for dinner so this should be interesting.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

  1. I totally get the "cheating" on food. Why slave over it when you can get it premade or have someone else cook? :) Have a wonderful holiday!

  2. Girl, Have a blessed Thanksgiving. I hope your food is delish. We're having the family over to our place. I got a jump start today and did a lot of the prep work.

BTW, I'm out next week, so I won't be on IM :( Miss you!
