My girls are big game fans and we have many different gaming systems to prove it. They swap out pending their moods and the situation. The Nintendo DS is perfect for on the go or just in another room when they want some alone time. The girls both have an Nintendo DS and used to have a lot of games but over time, they have lost them. They did have an opportunity to review the Poptropica game for their Nintendo DS and enjoyed it. Another great game choice from Ubisoft and I definitely can say we are an Ubi family.
Poptropica has six basic games ranging from catch, two mazes, jumping, racing and a dodge game. At the end, there is an arcade game that adds to the fun factor. The graphics are good and the game is great for the younger ones. Older children might get bored since there aren't many islands. All children love to create their own avatar and the hunt for cool gadgets is always fun while they move forward on the quests. It is rated E for everyone and has no violence which I like.
Overall, it's a fun game for children and I found that my five year old enjoyed it the most. It's a good on the side learning game as it allows small motor movement skills.
